Caitlin Vasile

Program Director, Varsity Head Coach

A native of Lancaster, NY, Caitlin was formally the Program Director/Head Varsity Coach for the Vandegrift Vipers. Prior to moving to Austin, Caitlin was the assistant coach at Canisius Women's Lacrosse, a NCAA Division I college in Buffalo, NY from 2018-2021.   Primarily managing the offensive team's players and strategy, Vasile helped Canisius maintain its streak of 12 straight trips to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship, highlighted by the program’s eighth consecutive trip to the MAAC title game in 2018.

Individually, Vasile had been instrumental in the coaching of both 2018 MAAC Offensive and Midfielder Players of the Year with six other attackers/midfielders receiving All-MAAC honors during Vasile's tenure.

Other Career Highlights:

Head Coach at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (2015-2018): Guided the Scots to a school-record tying seven wins in her first campaign, as well as their first ever win over a nationally-ranked opponent.  A pair of Fighting Scots earned All-PSAC honors under her tutelage, which marked the first time Edinboro had more than one honoree.

Head Coach for the Malvern St. James School in Worcestershire, England (2013-2015): Oversaw four different teams with varying age groups.

At George Mason University, Vasile was a three-year starter and the captain her Junior and Senior seasons.  A midfielder, Vasile finished as the Patriots’ second-leading scorer as a Sophomore and third-leading scorer as a Junior and Senior. She remained 2nd on the team in draw controls Junior and Senior year. In 2013, Caitlin was the 1st Women’s Lacrosse Player to make an ESPN Top 10 appearance. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Tourism in 2013. Vasile completed her Master of Science in Sports Administration in 2021. 

Sophie Castillo

Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Sophie is from Allentown, Pennsylvania, where she started playing lacrosse in the 4th grade. She was a varsity letter winner all four years at Parkland High School while also playing basketball. Castillo played for the HEADstrong foundation based out of Philadelphia. She got recruited to play Division 1 lacrosse for the University of Colorado. Castillo was a 2 year starter and helped lead the team to 3 NCAA Tournament Appearances. Since graduation, Sophie has been an assistant varsity coach for 4 years.

Kathleen Cihota

Varisity Assistant Coach

Coach Kath is from St. Louis, MO and started her lacrosse career freshman year of high school.   She fell in love with the game and went on to play at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN.  Freshman-junior year, she played on the club lacrosse team, serving as the president/coach of the program.  Senior year Kath played on Butler's first women's lacrosse team.  Kath's has coached both youth and high school lacrosse programs. Kath moved to Austin in 2020, and works as a property accountant for American Campus Communities, when she is not coaching lacrosse.

Greyson Maggio

Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Greyson has coached with LT Girls Lacrosse for 3 years and is the JV assistant coach.

Greyson started playing Lacrosse in 2nd grade.  Greyson's family were the founding members of the Lake Travis Youth Boys Lacrosse program. Greyson has a long history with LT Lacrosse from youth through high school.

Greyson is a 2016 alumni of Lake Travis High School. He was a three year starter at attack for the Lake Travis Cavaliers. As a Captain his senior year, he led his team to the state quarterfinals. Greyson was the first Lake Travis player to be awarded the honor of U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American. After high school, Greyson graduated from the University of Texas where he played on the UT club lacrosse team and was a rider for Texas 4000 for Cancer. Go Cavs!!



Anna Nugent

Junior Varsity Head Coach

Anna is from Bethesda, Maryland, where she started playing lacrosse in second grade. She was a starter on the varsity lacrosse team for all four years while playing varsity soccer and diving on the varsity swim team. After high school, Coach Anna moved to Austin to attend UT where she quickly fell in love with the club lacrosse team. As a midfielder at UT, Anna helped lead the team to several consecutive TWLL championships, national appearances, and its first-ever top 10 national ranking in her senior year. She served as a 2-year captain and the team's president her senior year. 

Coach Anna earned a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Marine and Freshwater science as well as a government minor from UT. She aims to attend graduate school in the near future while always coaching lacrosse. Hook ‘em!!!




Olivia Keirn

Junior Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Olivia is from Rochester, N.Y., and started playing lacrosse in the first grade. She was a four-year player on the Mercyhurst women’s lacrosse team in Erie, Pa. As a senior captain, Olivia helped lead the Lakers to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship title in 2016 and to the NCAAs. Throughout her career at Mercyhurst, the team recorded winning seasons and conference playoff berths for all four years. Olivia was also named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete during each season. Olivia’s high school career was highlighted by Academic All-American distinction and Second Team All-County honors. During both college and graduate school, Olivia coached girls lacrosse teams ranging from youth to the high school level. She recently moved to Austin and works as an Analytics Developer in Alzheimer’s research.
